As a Fashion Product Developer/ Garment Technician at White Story, you’ll take full ownership of the product development and technical lifecycle, from the initial concept through to production handover. Working closely with the design team, you’ll interpret creative visions to set up technical specs as well as sourcing the finest fabrics and trims that align with White Story’s signature aesthetic and commitment to quality. This role will see you leading the technical development process, managing timelines, liaising with both local and international suppliers, and ensuring that every garment meets the brand’s high standards in fit, finish, and craftsmanship. Your expertise will be key in problem-solving and refining products, collaborating with patternmakers, manufacturers, and production teams to bring each collection to life with precision and care.
  
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to bring concepts to life, creating technical specs for each garment, sourcing fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the creative direction and brand DNA.
• Work closely with pattern maker, machinist, design and offshore suppliers on on construction, fit and garment finishings.
• Manage the product development process end-to-end, from first proto to production handover, ensuring timelines and critical path deadlines are met.
• Liaise with suppliers (both local and international) to develop and refine products, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery goals are achieved.
• Oversee the fitting process and provide clear feedback to patternmakers and manufacturers, ensuring consistent garment fit and finish.
• Manage tech packs, BOMs, and samples, ensuring all product details are meticulously documented and communicated.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure the product offering remains relevant, innovative, and commercially driven.
• Problem-solve and troubleshoot during the development process, working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for each collection.

About You:

• Proven experience in Product Development/ Garment Technician within the fashion industry, ideally with premium or luxury womenswear.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and finishes.
• Exceptional skills in managing the critical path and working across multiple product categories.
• Confident in communicating with suppliers, manufacturers, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and tech pack creation.
• A proactive problem solver with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality, commercially successful products.
